Mixed Choir travel to Magdalen College, Oxford

Friday saw the Mixed Choir travel to Oxford to take part in a service in Magdalen College chapel. The choir sang together with the Magdalen choir, who are directed by Mark Williams, former director at Jesus College. The two choirs also enjoyed an afternoon of punting courtesy of the Magdalen Choral Scholars, and a delicious barbecue at Mark Williams' house, as well as singing music by Lloyd, Leighton and Matthew Martin. We hope that the collaboration between the choirs may continue in the future!

Choir Reunion

On Sunday we held a choir reunion, and the choir was joined for Evensong by old choir members of all ages. The singers ranged from students who left the choir last year to members who had matriculated as far back as 1963, and they sung music by Basil Harwood, Tchaikovsky and JS Bach jointly with the current choir. The service was followed by a fantastic dinner in Upper Hall, enjoyed by all attending. The choir holds reunions most years - follow this website or social media for news.
